IMA Hartford Chapter - March 21, 2017 

Speaker: Roy Laun – Business Growth Consultant, CONNSTEP, Inc.
Topic: “The Cost of Quality: Looking Beneath the Surface”

Roy Laun is a Business Growth Consultant with CONNSTEP, Inc. Roy helps manufacturing companies with the implementation of improvements that lead to better operational and financial performance, utilizing contemporary tools such as Six Sigma, plant layout, DFM & DFMA, and Lean principles. He drives the analysis of operations and makes recommendations for improved performance, developing action plans and providing education and support. Roy has more than 30 years of experience at various levels of corporate management and management consulting for manufacturing and engineered products companies. His extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes extends to the press room, screw machines, die cast, injection molding, CNC, turning, milling, grinding & miscellaneous machining, finishing/plating, and various assembly/packaging operations. Roy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the University of Hartford with a concentration in mechanical engineering, and he has a Master of Science in engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He also earned an MBA in operations management from the University of Hartford.

From the EAST    I-84 West to Exit 39A to Rt. 9 South. Take Exit 29. Left at end of ramp. At the 1st light, take a right onto Fenn Rd. Go to the end and take a left at the light onto Rte. 175. At the 2nd light, take a right onto Maple Hill Ave. At the next light, take a left onto Robbins Ave. Then take the 1st left onto Golf St. Proceed to the end.

From the WEST    I-84 East to Exit 39A, to Rt. 9 South. Then follow From the EAST.

From I-91 SOUTH    After Hartford, follow the signs for Rte. 15 South. Rte. 15 becomes the Berlin Turnpike. Turn right (west) onto Rte. 287/Robbins Ave (at McDonalds). Go through 2 lights. Take the 3rd right onto Golf St. Proceed to the end.

From I-91 NORTH    Take Exit 21N (Rte. 9). Follow the signs to Exit 29. Take a right off the exit ramp onto Rte.175. At the 2nd light, take a right onto Maple Hill Ave. At the next light, take a left onto Robbins Ave. Take the 1st left onto Golf St. Proceed to the end.
