The scholarship honors Larry Webster who was president of the Hartford Chapter at the time of his death in 1963. Larry was also a Professor of Accounting at UCONN.

LARRY WEBSTER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Larry Webster Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1963. Larry was president of the Hartford Chapter at the time of his death in 1963.

A Professor of Accounting at the University of Connecticut, Larry devoted much of his time to the Hartford chapter serving as an officer and director in various capacities.

Each Fall our Director of Educational Projects and Professional Development contacts Professor Richard Kochanek of the University of Connecticut to receive the name of a deserving University of Connecticut student for the scholarship based upon grades, character, and participation in outside activities.

University of Connecticut makes the decision and the recipient and the Chairman of UCONN's Accounting Department come to one of our meetings where the student receives the presentation.

This scholarship fund is supported by income from the monthly meeting raffles and voluntary contributions by individual members.

Two students were awarded scholarships for 2012-2013.  The recipients were April Rollett and Rebecca Curtis.
