Speaker BIO

Nailah Abdul-Rahman

Director of Student 5.0                                     

Nailah Abdul-Rahman, Director of Student 5.0, is a CT native, a New Haven Public Schools graduate, and holds a master's degree in education, leadership, politics, and advocacy from NYU. She is a Teach For America Corps member, worked for the NYC Department of Ed, the CT Rise Network, and is a Business Leads Fellow with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Nailah’s focus on building business-educator relationships has been key to the impact of Student 5.0 for employers and students alike.

Adam Ney

ReadyCT

Employer Engagement Manager                                    

Adam Ney is a relatively new employee to ReadyCT and is the employer engagement manager for the Student 5.0 program.  He grew up in Philadelphia and attended the University of Hartford.  He graduated with a degree in Political Science and Economics and then started a 36+ year career with CBIA, CT's largest business organization. Now with ReadyCT, Adam's role with Student 5.0 is to engage with employers and other stakeholders to develop opportunities for student participants to gain work experience and launch careers.
