President's Message

Dear Members,

As the year draws to a close and the holiday season approaches, I want to take a moment to reflect again on all we have accomplished together and to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you.

2025 has been a year of growth, learning, and connection for our chapter.  Whether through engaging professional development sessions, lively networking events, or our community initiatives, your enthusiasm and commitment have made a real difference. I am continually inspired by the dedication and professionalism that define our Hartford IMA family. And I’m always excited to see new faces at our events, professionals, academics and students, alike.

The holidays are a time to celebrate our achievements, cherish our relationships, and look forward to new opportunities. I encourage you to take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the company of loved ones, but only after you have attended our Tuesday, December 16th speaker meeting.   Why?  With a topic like “ Accounting for Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace ”, how can you possibly resist the chance to learn and/or reinforce this critical and too often overlooked skill that can truly boost your personal and professional success.

As we prepare to welcome 2026, I am excited for the possibilities ahead and confident that, together, we will continue to advance our membership and support one another. Keep your calendars marked for these events. Learn and Network with us.

Looking ahead, we have several exciting events planned, including:

*  Dec 16 2025, Accounting for Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace , Indian Hill Country Club,
Newington
*  Jan 20 2026, One Big Beautiful Bill: Unpacking the Latest Congressional Tax Reform, Virtual
*  Feb 7 2026, Community Volunteering + Networking Lunch, Midwest FoodBank, Manchester
*  Jun 14-17 2026, IMA Annual Conference, Tampa, FL
*  Sep 20-22 2026, IMA NorthEast Regional Conference , Wellsworth Hotel, Southbridge, MA

On behalf of the entire chapter leadership team, I wish you a joyful holiday season and a happy, healthy New Year. Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement. I look forward to seeing you on December 16th and at our upcoming events in 2026!

Warm regards,
