IMA Hartford Chapter Networking Event Agenda

6 to 7:30 pm
- Our event will begin promptly at 6:00 with an introduction and welcome message from the Hartford Chapter President, Claude McIntyre, followed by our Networking Coordinator, Christine Irujo, kicking off the evening’s activities.
- After these short introductions you will participate with all attendees to solve a group puzzle. You can discuss your ideas with each other via the chat feature in Zoom. Hopefully with all of you working together you will find all of the answers to the puzzle. After 15 minutes Chris, our Networking Coordinator will provide you with the answers and you can see how the group did.
- You will next be split into breakout rooms with three or four other attendees. You will work to solve another puzzle with your team. A member of the Hartford Board will be in each room so that they can present the puzzle to you. Even the board members do not know the answer to the puzzle.
- Your team will have 20 minutes to find the solution to the puzzle. You will then return to the main room with all the attendees and learn the solution to the puzzle. If your team succeeds quickly take the time to get to know your other team members.
- Next we will be joined by a special guest. Brian the Bartender will show us how to make these delicious drinks.
Classic Margarita
1 bottle of tequila (Blanco or Reposado)
4-5 limes for juicing
1 bottle of triple sec or Cointreau
1 cup of simple syrup*
Sea salt for the rim if you want a salted rim.
Bourbon Smash
1 bottle of bourbon (Brian prefer Elijah Craig or Four Roses)
4-5 lemons for juicing
Simple syrup*
1 container of blackberries and raspberries
- With the pandemic this year most of us probably ended up with our vacation in our own backyard while dreaming about a real vacation next year. Where would you like to go? In the next segment of our evening you will proceed to the breakout room of your choice. In each room a board member or fellow attendee will share with you their experiences on a past trip including pictures and any tips they could give to help you in planning if you choose to embark on the same trip. Even if your dream vacation is not represented, we are sure you will find a trip that interests you. If you have been on a trip you would like to share with fellow attendees please let us know. - The fun will wrap up at 7:30 with closing remarks including the answer to the puzzle that you found on the event posting.
